Bible Reading ICal
I’m going to take a break from my normal tech blogs to post this.
I’ve created an iCal file for reading the entire Bible in one year. It’s based on Discipleship Journal’s Bible reading plan.
First things first, here is the iCal file.
You should be able to import it into any iCal capable calendar system. Below is a brief tutorial how to do it in Google Calendar
Stat by going to Google Calendar.
Then click the “Add” link on the left:
This will take you to the calendar creation screen. Enter the information there (such as calendar name, etc.)
When you’re done, click the Settings link right next to the Add link in the first image.
Towards the bottom of this screen you should see this image:
Click on the “Import Calendar” link.
This displays the following popup:
Pick the file from where you saved it on your computer.
Pick the calendar you created above from the dropdown list.
Click the import button.
This part will take a minute or two as Google sets up all the readings for the year.
